Message In A Bottle
This scheme has been developed to help the elderly and vulnerable in emergencies.
It involves providing critical information such a medication, next of kin, etc. which is kept in a small plastic bottle to be kept in a safe place, usually the fridge.
This location is known to the emergency services so they can quickly identify crucial information if the owner has a problem.
East Leeds Primary Care Trust is involved with this scheme and together with Garforth & District Lions and other Lions clubs in the area aim to provide 10,000 bottles in the 1st phase
