Lee Otway Visits Massive Music Attack Youth Disco

| Young people of Garforth and the surrounding district who attend Garforth and District Lions 'Massive Music Attack' on January 26 2007, had a special treat when Lee Otway dropped into the event. Bradford born Lee, 25, star of 'Hollyoaks', 'Soapstar Superstar' and 'Celebrity Love Island' attended at the request of Garforth Lion Mark Dobson. Mark Dobson said, 'I know Lee socially and told him about the event. Every three months Garforth and District Lions working with the youth service oganise the event for 250 local young people. We use professional DJ's, lighting and sound and due to the generosity of the local Holiday Inn we have a tremendous venue to stage the event. Lee was really impressed and said he would love to see how it worked. He has been recording in London but all day but he travelled up to Garforth with Steve Nicholas from 'Dream Team' just to meet the kids and sign autographs, which I think was a fantastic gesture. This will make an already popular event the talk of the area amongst young people and can only build on the success of the event' Lee Otway added, ' When Mark told me about the event I was happy to come along.Events of this quality are limited for young people and what the Lions are doing here is superb. I was really impressed with what they are providing and I am sure the event will continue to go from strength to strength'. Lion President Dave Richards said, 'this has been our best event to date, the kids loved to meet Lee and we look forward to staging the next event in the spring'
